Calvary Family,

November is approaching fast, and that means Thanksgiving season is right around the corner. For the past few years, we have designated November as our “Grateful Giving” month. Each Sunday in November, we will be highlighting one of the missionaries/ministry partners we support financially as a church. On Sunday, November 15 we will hold our Grateful Giving Gathering at 5 pm. During this special evening, we will celebrate the diverse cultures and nationalities within our church family! We invite everyone to share a piece of their heritage by bringing a favorite cultural dish to share.

The purpose of this evening is to express our gratitude for God’s great gift to us expressed in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

There are three ways we will express our gratitude on November 15.

We will express praise to God in song, we will lift our voices asking God to bless our missionaries and ministry partners so that they will be effective in spreading the gospel, and then we will conclude the evening by receiving a generous financial offering to our mission fund.

God’s love for the whole world motivated him to give His Son as a sacrifice for us so that we might have eternal life. In response to this greatest act of generosity, it is only appropriate for us to respond with gratitude by giving a special financial offering so that those who have not yet heard will be saved just as we have been.

Please save the date and ask the Holy Spirit to give you a heart of generosity and wisdom to decide what you should contribute to this special offering. Through our generosity, those who have not yet heard the good news about Jesus will hear and be saved!!
