2026 DEACON BOARD CANDIDATES

As we approach our Annual Business Meeting on Sunday, March 22nd following our 10:30am service, we invite you to take time to review the Deacon Board Candidates below and lift them up in prayer. We will be voting to elect two new members to serve three-year terms on our Deacon Board. Deacon Board Members may serve a second term before taking a one-year break. Let’s seek God’s guidance as we prayerfully consider who He is calling to serve our church in this vital leadership role.

Walter Chacon

Walter Chacon received Christ as his Savior in 1993 and has faithfully followed the Lord for over 30 years. He has been married to his wife, Rosie, for 43 years, and together they have been blessed with three children and one grandson.

Walter and Rosie have attended Access Church for the past two and a half years and are active members of our church family. Walter and Rosie both serve on our Discipleship Team, investing in the spiritual growth and development of others and helping strengthen the foundation of our church community.

Professionally, Walter serves as an Emergency Supervisor with PG&E, where he leads with responsibility and steady leadership in critical situations. Walter is honored to be considered as a candidate for the Deacon Board at Access Church and looks forward to continuing to serve the Lord and our church family.

David Combs

David Combs is a committed follower of Christ who received Jesus as his Savior in 1984 and has faithfully walked with the Lord for over four decades. He has been married to his wife, Antoinette, for 35 years, and together they have been blessed with three children and five grandchildren.

David and Antoinette have been active members of Access Church for over two years, faithfully investing in the life of our church family. David serves on our Discipleship Team and, alongside Antoinette, leads a Married Small Group, helping couples grow stronger in their faith and relationships.

Professionally, David serves as the Assistant Director of Imaging Services at Kaiser Permanente. David is honored to be considered as a candidate for the Deacon Board at Access Church and is grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the Lord and His church.

Charles Henson

Charles Henson has faithfully walked with Christ since receiving Him as Savior in 1988 at Northeast. He and his wife, Angel, have been married for 38 years and are blessed with six children and four grandchildren.

For the past year and three months, Charles and Angel have been active members of Access Church. Charles serves faithfully on the Parking Team and in Access Kids, while Angel warmly welcomes others as part of the Greeters Team.

Now retired, Charles and Angel treasure time with their growing family and remain committed to serving the Lord and supporting the mission of Access Church. Charles is honored to be considered as a candidate for the Deacon Board and looks forward to continuing to serve with humility and dedication.

KEVIN JONES

Kevin Jones has faithfully followed Christ since receiving Him as Savior in 1984. He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for 32 years and are blessed with five children, four grandchildren, and one more grandchild due in July.

Kevin and Lisa have been active members of Access Church for the past year and three months. Kevin serves faithfully on the Parking Team, while Lisa ministers in Access Kids. Together, they lead Thrive Parenting, a Beyond Group dedicated to equipping and encouraging parents to raise their children God’s way.

Professionally, Kevin serves as the Assistant General Manager at Costco Wholesale, where he brings leadership, integrity, and a heart for people—qualities that also reflect his commitment to serving the local church. Kevin is honored to be considered as a candidate for the Deacon Board and remains passionate about supporting the mission and vision of Access Church.
