Exodus - Week 3 - Deliverance
Exodus 6:1-8 Then the Lord told Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh. When he feels the force of my strong hand, he will let the people go. In fact, he will force them to leave his land!” And God said to Moses, “I am Yahweh—‘the Lord.’ I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty’—but I did not reveal my name, Yahweh, to them. And I reaffirmed my covenant with them. Under its terms, I promised to give them the land of Canaan, where they were living as foreigners. You can be sure that I have heard the groans of the people of Israel, who are now slaves to the Egyptians. And I am well aware of my covenant with them. “Therefore, say to the people of Israel: ‘I am the Lord. I will free you from your oppression and will rescue you from your slavery in Egypt. I will redeem you with a powerful arm and great acts of judgment. I will claim you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God who has freed you from your oppression in Egypt. I will bring you into the land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I will give it to you as your very own possession. I am the Lord!’”
7 promises God made to Moses and His People:
- I will free you
- I will rescue you
- I will redeem you
- I will claim you
- I will be your God
- I will bring you into the land
- I will give you the land
Exodus 12:12-13 On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down every firstborn son and firstborn male animal in the land of Egypt. I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt, for I am the Lord! But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.
1 Corinthians 5:7b Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us!
Exodus 14:20-21 Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land. So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side!
John 5:24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

National Day of Prayer for Northern Colorado is organized by area churches to bring the community, businesses, and officials together for prayer. Everyone is welcome! Learn more about the program here.

On May 3rd we'll have tables in the lobby between and after church services for Traverse ministries. Please stop by and get to know our ministries & leaders, discover where help is needed, and find a place to connect & use your gifts to serve.
🎒 SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION DEADLINE
High School Camp June 8–13 | Middle School Camp June 15-20
This annual retreat is an opportunity to escape normal routines, have a great time together as a youth group, grow closer, and see lives impacted. The last day for students to register for summer camp is May 3rd.
📝 SUMMER CAMP MANDATORY PARENT MEETING
Sunday, May 3 • After 3rd Service 12:30-1:30 in the Basecamp Room
This is an important meeting for all parents and guardians of students attending summer camp. We’ll share helpful preparation details and walk through key guidelines and expectations to ensure a great experience for everyone.
↗️ PROMOTION SUNDAY

This is the day that our Kids and Student Ministries officially transition between grades, and our kids and students *MOVE UP* — Kids Church kids move up to their next Sunday classrooms, to-be 5th graders start Switchback, to-be 6th graders start going to Summit, and graduating seniors are recognized.
👕 CLOTHING DRIVE
Through Sunday, May 24
We're collecting clothes for Caleb's Closet, which helps students in need in Northwest Arkansas. Please bring gently worn clothing and shoes to church before and by this day.
🔆 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
TRAVERSE VBS 2026
Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26 • 4:30-7:00pm
In June Traverse is hosting a 5-day VBS in the evening. We are so excited to guide your kids through the rainforest and teach them about God! The theme this year is Rainforest Falls: Exploring the Nature of God. We'll explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, our creator, a safe place in life’s storms.
