Exodus - Week 6 - Worship
Exodus 20:2-4 I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. You must not have any other god but me. You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods.
Exodus 25:8 Have the people of Israel build me a holy sanctuary so I can live among them.
Exodus 34:6-8 The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations. I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin. But I do not excuse the guilty. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children and grandchildren; the entire family is affected even children in the third and fourth generations.” Moses immediately threw himself to the ground and worshiped. And he said, “O Lord, if it is true that I have found favor with you, then please travel with us. Yes, this is a stubborn and rebellious people, but please forgive our iniquity and our sins. Claim us as your own special possession.”
Your desert is not a sign that God has abandoned you. It may be the very place where He is most at work in your life.
- Worship in the desert means valuing God's presence more than your comfort
- Worship in the desert means bringing your best, not your leftovers
- Worship in the desert means returning to the covenant when you fail
- Worship in the desert means building your life around the presence of God

🌱 GROWTH GROUPS
June-July
Sign ups are open for summer semester Growth Groups! These groups are 8 to 10 week semester-based classes to help you grow in knowledge of God’s Word in ways that make a difference in your life. Summer semester groups meet weekly through June and July on weekday evenings at Traverse--check out what's available!
↗️ PROMOTION SUNDAY

This is the day that our Kids and Student Ministries officially transition between grades, and our kids and students *MOVE UP* — Kids Church kids move up to their next Sunday classrooms, to-be 5th graders start Switchback, to-be 6th graders start going to Summit, and graduating seniors are recognized.
👕 CLOTHING DRIVE
Through Sunday, May 24
We're collecting clothes for Caleb's Closet, which helps students in need in Northwest Arkansas. Please bring gently worn clothing and shoes to church before and by this day.
🔆 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
TRAVERSE VBS 2026
Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26 • 4:30-7:00pm
In June Traverse is hosting a 5-day VBS in the evening. We are so excited to guide your kids through the rainforest and teach them about God! The theme this year is Rainforest Falls: Exploring the Nature of God. We'll explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, our creator, a safe place in life’s storms.
