Subject: Positioned to Receive Fresh Oil

Scripture Focus: Psalm 92:8,10 (KJV) 8But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore.10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

It is very disappointing when you open a package of bread and it tastes old or stale. Even more so when the bread become molded, it is then fitted to be thrown in the trash can. There is nothing like eating a fresh piece of bread.

In the scripture today, David reminds us how good it is to give thanks and to sing forth His praises. He then transitions to discuss the Lord being the most high for ever more. The oil symbolizes the Holy Spirit that will renew, strengthen and empower. With the cares of life and through the many trials from day to day. We as believers need a fresh pour of God’s spirit. Isaiah 44:3 declares, “For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring.” There are times where we can experience a season of spiritual drought. Jesus is that ever flowing fountain that is never runs dry. The fresh oil will conquer ever place of weariness, dryness and heaviness. The fresh oil will destroy every yoke, destroy every burden, and cause a supernatural breakthrough to come forth. The prophet Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the presence of his brethren. The Spirit of the Lord came upon David and symbolized in demonstration of the fresh oil being poured out. Let us be reminded that we are in the days of where the Lord is pouring out His spirit upon all flesh.

Prayer Declaration: Lord I decree that fresh oil will be upon my life. I come before you hungry in your presence. Lord pour fresh oil upon my mind that I will walk in clarity and wisdom. Lord pour fresh oil upon my spirit that my fire will never burn out. Lord pour fresh oil on my prayer life, my worship, my calling and my purpose. Lord let fresh oil destroy every yoke and release a supernatural breakthrough in my life. I decree that I will not operate on yesterday’s anointing but I shall walk in a fresh move of God for every season. The fresh oil of the Lord is flowing over me now, and I arise in strength, authority and victory through Jesus Christ. Amen
