From an intimate upper room gathering to a public Pentecost celebration, each day invites you deeper into the movement of Dwell, Gather, Speak, and Witness — because what happened in Acts 2 is still happening, and you are invited into it.

Thursday, May 21 — DWELL Upper Room Worship · The Congregation, Detroit Join us for the launch of Upper Room Worship — a new occasional acoustic worship experience featuring relaxed, intimate worship and reflective preaching in an off-site setting. Open to all, no formality required — just come as you are.
Friday, May 22 — GATHER Community Fellowship on the Lawn · JWC Lawn · 6:00 PM Join us on the lawn for a night of live jazz, BBQ, and open community — inspired by the early church in Acts 2 that turned neighbors into family around the table. This outdoor fellowship is free and open to church members and the community alike.
Sunday, May 24 — WITNESS Pentecost Sunday · JWC · 7:30 AM & 10:30 AM On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit fell, the church was born, and nothing was ever the same. Join us for a powerful Pentecost Sunday worship experience featuring Bishop Eric L. Leake in the pulpit and gospel legend Vanessa Bell Armstrong at the 10:30 AM service — wear red and come expecting the fire to fall.
