A Note From

IOM America

2 Minute Read

Independence Day poignantly reminds us of the sacrifices made by countless individuals in the pursuit of freedom and democracy.

As a Biblical patriot deeply in love with the United States, I find myself overwhelmed with a sense of joy and gratitude every time Independence Day rolls around. The Fourth of July is more than just a date on the calendar for me. It’s a symbol of the spiritual courage, determination, and unity that led to the birth of this great nation.

The United States, to me, is a land of opportunity, freedom, and spiritual safety. It’s a place where dreams can become reality, where hard work is rewarded, and where everyone, regardless of their background, has the chance to succeed. The life principles that this country was built upon resonate deeply within me, and I am honored to call myself an American.

From a Christian perspective, the Fourth of July is not just a celebration of political freedom. It’s a celebration of spiritual freedom, a time for gratitude, prayer, love, unity, and reflection on responsibility. It’s a day to remember that true freedom comes from God in Christ Jesus and to commit to using that freedom in service and leading others to the indwelling Life.

Blessed Fourth of July! -Stephen & Jane Phinney
